1968 Motown song “War” song by the Temptations posed this eternal question about “War”.
War, I despise ’cause it means destruction of innocent lives
War, means tears to thousands of mothers how
When their sons go off to fight and lose their lives
I said, war, good god, now, what is it good for?
Absolutely, nothing
Say it again, war, what is it good for?
Absolutely, nothing, listen to me
War, it ain’t nothing but a heart breaker
War, friend only to the undertaker, war
In this day and age a person would think that we have evolved, become more intelligent and compassionate. In 2023 the world, the United States and many countries around the world have become more divided and each nation’s political system is the root cause for the division. To what end, more land, more resources, more money, freedom of religion? Is war really necessary to obtain world order or peace?
The opportunities are endless if our global politicians simply pulled their collective heads out of their asses! Imagine the unlimited achievements we could realize with global technology sharing, collaborative thinking and a strong global economy. We could end starvation at a global level, share technology and science to explore deep space, build a stable economy where all could prosper. Best of all, save trillions of dollars and eliminate weapons manufacturing.
The stupidity of man will destroy the planet and for what, land, money, religion or power. The world populace has got to stop allowing this to continue, we are our only hope.
Politicians frequently state that they are representing the will of the people. When was the last time a politician asked what you wanted or better yet did what we expected to bring peace to the world and stop the madness that now prevails?
